IT’S BACK!

NCHS's Sand in the City^®returns for its ninth year, June 1st - 3rd, 2012. Once again, corporate and community group teams will get down and dirty for a great cause, and of course the chance to take home the coveted "People's Choice" Award.

Teams participating in Sand in the City^® are in for a fun, one-of-a-kind experience. This event is much more than your typical fun run or golf outing. Coming together as a sand sculpting team:

• Encourages employee teamwork and problem solving skills
• Strengthens creativity and “Out of the Box” thinking
• Enhances a sense of Organizational Pride
• Helps raise funds that benefit the programs and services of Nebraska Children's Home Society www.nchs.org.

Goal:

To raise awareness and funds for Nebraska Children's Home Society who provide safe and loving care to children of all ages through statewide Pregnancy, Parenting, Adoption, Foster Care, Community and Neighborhood Based Services and Early Childhood Programs.

Who:

Corporate and community group teams work with professional sand sculptors from across the country and local architects/engineers to build incredible sand sculptures followed by a weekend long festival. The Family Festival is open to the public to view finished sand sculptures and enjoy the festival like atmosphere all weekend long.
